Halfway up

This was cool. Cog and lever system trains that take you up to the summit of the Snowdonia Mountains. Unfortunately due to high (and freakin cold) winds, the train made it 5/8ths of the way.

Next stop was Wales. Not a pretty sight along the coast in North Wales, but this place was actually ok

On the way from Richmond to Whitby - we drove through the Moors National Park. Quite an eerie place, and so different from the Yorkshire Dales area.

where they make Derwent pencils.. sounds lame, but was actually pretty cool.. and you get a free pencil - nice
